- If you are visiting or living in New Zealand for 12 months or less, you are able to drive for a maximum period of 12 months using your foreign Driver Licence.
- If your valid foreign Driver Licence is not in English, you will need to have your Driver Licence translated by a New Zealand Transport Agency – NZTA approved translation company,this will allow you to drive legally in New Zealand.
- If you are staying in New Zealand for over 12 months, you will need to apply for a New Zealand Driver Licence. Have your foreign Driver Licence translated by an NZTA Approved Translation Company before you apply for your New Zealand Driver Licence.
